Incident Summary:

05/10/2001: Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) militants attacked eleven community members from the Sajjar village, in the Jammu Kashmir state of India, while they were grazing cattle. Eight were killed and three sustained injuries. Indian authorities believed the incident was an attempt to disrupt the peace initiative in the state.
