08/01/2001: At least five people were killed and eight were injured when the vehicle they were traveling in drove over a landmine in Debatangi, Kokrajhar district, India. The group was comprised of Bhutanese students and forestry officials. Although no group claimed responsibility for the incident, authorities believed that the National Democratic Front of Bodoland (NDFB) was responsible.
