Incident Summary:

08/02/2001: Abu Sayyaf Group (ASG) members launched a raid against the village of Balugo on the island of Basilan in the Philippines. During the course of the raid, several houses and a school were burnt down. ASG took 34 hostages, and beheaded four of them.
