Incident Summary:

08/06/2001: Father Oscar Mendonca of St John the Baptist Church was assaulted by members of Bajrang Dal, in the outskirts of Mumbai, India. Bajrang Dal was conducting a memorial procession when the attack occurred. Twenty-five of the members forced their way into St. John the Baptist Church and beat Father Mendonca.
