Incident Summary:

08/16/2001: 12 people were shot and killed in the village of Santo Tomas in Antioquia Department, Colombia in a presumed United Self Defense Units of Colombia (AUC) attack by 50 members of the group. Those killed were accused of working with leftist rebels. The gunmen also shot farm animals and set fire to homes.
