09/09/2001: Two people, a teacher and a bus driver, were killed and another three teachers were wounded when gunmen approached the bus the Israeli teachers were riding in and opened fire in Jordan Valley, Israel. The Islamic Jihad group later claimed they were the perpetrators of the shooting, saying it was a response to violent acts against Palestinians.
