09/16/2001: No casualties resulted when gunmen fired over twenty shots at the house of the former township head of Taihsi, Wu Cheng-ching, in Taiwan’s Yunlin County. Local police suspected that the attack was related to the upcoming year-end legislative and local government heads elections. No group claimed responsibility for the attack.
