Incident Summary:

09/19/2001: Unidentified gunmen shot and killed Jesus David Corzo, an official with the Attorney General's Technical Investigations Force, and wounded his mother as they walked in a neighborhood in Cucuta, Norte de Santander province, Colombia. No group claimed responsibility for the attack, and the gunmen abandoned the truck they were driving shortly after the shooting. Nine years later, a National Human Rights and International Humanitarian Law prosecutor indicted Jorge Ivan Laverde, also known as the Iguana, for the murder.
