09/20/2001: The Al-Aqsa Martyrs Brigades, a group linked to Palestinian leader Yasser Arafat's Fatah movement, claimed responsibility for killing Sarit Amrani and wounding her husband. The drive-by shooting occurred a few miles from the Nokdim settlement between two military checkpoints in Israel. Palestinian authorities detained two suspects for questioning in the shooting attack.
