Incident Summary:

10/26/2001: Gerard Diver, a councilor for the Social Democratic and Labor Party (SDLP), was the target of a pipe bomb at his home in Londonderry, Northern Ireland. No one was injured in the blast. The front door and windows and roof were damaged. The pipe bomb had four-inch nails attached to the outside of the device. No one claimed responsibility for the attack.
