10/27/2001: Two relatives of a government minister were kidnapped by the Naxalites at Koram, Andhra Pradesh state, India. Ten men entered the house of Marthanda Rao and kidnapped him and his son-in-law Vinod. A ransom was demanded, but no amount was made public.
