11/05/2001: A 30 kilogram car bomb composed of homemade explosives failed to fully detonate in Birmingham, England. The device, which was believed by police to have been planted by the Real Irish Republican Army (RIRA)was disarmed after it failed to fully explode. There were no injuries.
