11/05/2001: Approximately 300 Hutu rebels attacked the town of Munini in Bururi province, Burundi. The assailants targeted the military post first, killing six soldiers. They proceeded to attack the villagers, killing at least 18 civilians. The attackers looted shops and homes before burning them down, along with the health center.
