5/2/2002: Muslim militants killed three people and kidnapped another near Sidi Abderrahmane, Chlef province, Algeria. Assailants slit the throats of two men and one woman and abducted a second woman as they returned home from their fields. No group claimed responsibility and the motive is unknown.
