Incident Summary:

05/04/2002: 19 mortar shells were lobbed at a predominately Christian neighborhood in Ambon, Indonesia. 11 of the mortars exploded killing 2 people and injuring at least eight others. No group claimed responsibility for the attack, but local authorities suspected that the militant Islamic group, Laskar Jihad was behind the incident.
