Incident Summary:

05/17/2002: Suspected members of the Salafist Group for Preaching and Fighting (GSPC) blew up the Hassi R'mel-Algiers gas pipeline in Krakib, Algeria. The blast resulted in a fire, damaged both the pipeline and segments of the road nearby, and halted the flow of gas to surrounding areas for at least one week.
