Incident Summary:

5/18/2002: At least four unidentified gunmen abducted Reginaldo Panting, a former Honduran economy minister, near San Pedro Sula, Cortés, Honduras. Panting was driving when the assailants pulled him over, forced him into one of their cars, and drove away with him. No group has claimed responsibility for the incident and the motive is unknown.
