8/17/2002: The Jaan Maliks school, a girls school, was bombed in Ghazni, Ghazni province, Afghanistan. No one was injured in the explosion, but several of the classrooms were damaged. In the hours following the explosion, leaflets appeared around the town stating that the Taliban was not gone and women would be killed if they returned to school.
