Incident Summary:

08/27/2002: Near Guihulngan, Philippines, about 30 perpetrators of the New People's Army (NPA) ambushed a vehicle carrying Senior Inspector Leopito Gallego. The perpetrators shot and killed Gallego and his driver, policeman Cipriano Saludes, and wounded another policeman, Celo Cupta.
