Incident Summary:

10/02/2002: Three people were killed, including a U.S. Army Green Beret, and at least 25 were injured when a nail bomb exploded outside a restaurant in Zamboanga, Philippines. The bomb was hidden on a motorcycle parked outside the restaurant. No one claimed responsibility for the bombing however the driver of the motorcycle was connected to Abu Sayyaf Group (ASG). It was unclear whether or not he survived the blast.
