11/27/2002: An explosion took place at a mosque in Taloqan, the capital of Takhar province, Afghanistan. Five people were injured from the incident. The victims were praying at the end of the day's fasting for the Muslim Ramadan. Security officials believed the attack was the work of al-Qaida and Taliban extremists or anti-government supporters of former prime minister Gulbuddin Hekmatyar.
