Incident Summary:

02/23/2003: Before dusk local time, HAMAS fired three Qassam rockets from the northeastern Gaza Strip into Israel. The rockets landed in the Israeli border town of Sderot. One landed near a crowded shopping center but did not explode. Each rocket carried a warhead with 12 pounds of explosives and has a range of around three miles. No one was injured in the attack.
