Incident Summary:

03/13/2003: A bomb exploded on a crowded suburban commuter train during rush hour in Mumbai, India, killing 11 passengers and injuring 64 others. Police suspected members of the Students' Islamic Movement of India (SIMI); two months later police arrested six men linked with Lashkar-e Taiba for planning the attack. The attack came a day after the 10-year anniversary of a series of bomb blasts in Mumbai that killed more than 250 people and injured more than 1,000 others.
