4/19/2003: Approximately 20 gunmen attacked Mucura Island, Colombia. The assailants used speedboats to gain access to the island, where they kidnapped eight vacationers, including an eight-year-old boy and bodyguards of businessmen. No group has claimed responsibility and the motive is unknown.
