Additional Information Reportedly, this incident took place shortly after unknown attackers threw grenades at military police guarding the former Badr Corps headquarters in Bakuba. During a foot patrol the U.S. soldiers launched to search for the attackers, an Iraqi woman approached them. The soldiers warned the woman to stop several times, but she continued to advance towards them. When she refused to stop, the squad shot the woman her several times. The woman fell to the ground, dropping one grenade and continuing to crawl towards the squad, who fired again, killing the woman.
