07/14/2003: Communist guerrillas belonging to the New People's Army (NPA) attacked a group of soldiers that were traveling in Bontoc, Philippines. Eight soldiers were killed and two others injured. The attack was claimed by NPA spokesperson Ka Magno Udyaw.
