10/14/2003: The president of the San Andres town council, Carlos Mario Tapias, was shot to death after the bus he was riding in was stopped in San Andres, Colombia. Regional police suspected the Fuerzas Armadas Revolucionarias de Colombia (FARC) to be behind the attack, though no claim of responsibility was made.
