11/12/2003: A truck packed with explosives was driven into an Italian military compound in Nasiriyah, southern Iraq, by suicide bombers, killing 27 and injuring at least 80 others. 17 Italians died and 20 others were injured in the bombing. No group claimed responsibility for the attack.
