12/22/2003: Seven unknown assailants wearing ski masks, kidnapped, beat, threatened and after three hours released, political activist, Levan Kacharava, near his home in Batumi, Georgia. The kidnappers threatened Kacharava to discontinue his political activities as an opposition leader to the established government.
