Incident Summary:

01/12/2004: Twenty-four suspected Taliban fighters attacked a police checkpoint in Nimroz, Afghanistan. Armed with assault rifles, the fighters killed four Afghan police officers in the attack. The attacks come as increased Taliban violence has hit Afghanistan in recent months. The attacks have been concentrated in the south and east, near the Pakistani border.
