Incident Summary:

04/14/2004: In Kashmir, India, an Islamic militant threw a grenade off the top of a building into a crowd at a political rally in support of the Congress Party. The unidentified attackers were not apprehended, but police believed that it was in retaliation against the killing of a rebel commander of the pro-Pakistan Lashkar-e-Taiba militant group. The grenade exploded and killed one civilian, while injuring 22 others, including two police officers.
