Incident Summary:

04/19/2004: Suspected members of HAMAS fired five homemade Qassam-type rockets at the Israeli Nissanit settlement in the Gaza Strip. One of the rockets struck a house and set it on fire, injuring three Israeli settlers. The rocket barrage injured one other Israeli settler as well. Although no group claimed responsibility for the rockets, HAMAS had vowed to get revenge for the Israeli assassination of the organization’s leader in Gaza, Abdelaziz Rantissi earlier in April 2004.
