Incident Summary:

05/20/2004: The Fuerzas Armadas Revolucionarias de Colombia (FARC) exploded a bomb in the San Ignacio Plaza near the University of Antioquia in Medellin, Colombia. The explosion killed the rebel who was carrying the bomb as well as three bystanders at a nearby bus stop. Seventeen people were also wounded in the incident. It was reported that the bomb detonation was accidental and that the intended target was unknown.
