06/14/2004: Motorcycle gunmen shot and killed Royima Buaraheng, an offical with the Coordination Centre to Fight Poverty, while in her office in Yala Province, Thailand. In related incidents, a local administration official was killed and retired policeman was wounded by motorcycle gunmen in Narathiwat and Pattani Provinces, Thailand. No group claimed responsibility for the attacks, but authorities suspect the involvement of Muslim terrorists in an ongoing terrorism campaign.
