Incident Summary:

06/20/2004: At least 70 people, mainly opposition activists, were injured when a bomb exploded at an Awami League [AL] rally in northeastern Bangladesh. The bomb exploded minutes after AL lawmaker Suranjit Sengupta finished addressing hundreds of supporters in Sunamganj District, 177 kms northeast of the capital Dhaka. No one was killed in the attack, and no group claimed responsibility.
