Incident Summary:

07/12/2004: The mayor of the Nepalese city of Dhangadhi, Dhan Bahadur Bam, was assassinated by two suspected members of the Nepal Communist Party. The mayor died as a result of gunshot wounds to his chest and neck. Mr. Bam's driver, Kashi Ram Aryal, was wounded in the arm. There was no official claim of responsibility by the Nepal Communist Party.
