Incident Summary:

8/25/2004: In a series of multiple attacks, unknown perpetrators, believed to be affiliated with the Islamic insurgency in Algeria, detonated two bombs targeting a train passing through Ahnif, Algeria. The driver of the freight train was wounded by the blast and a portion of railroad tracks were damaged. As a result of the attack, all trains travelling from Algiers towards the eastern region of Algeria were suspended.
