08/26/2004: One Pakistani soldier was killed and six others injured when their convoy passed over a land mine in the village of Tiarza near Pakistan’s border with Afghanistan. Pakistan authorities believed that the land mine was detonated via remote control. They also suspected that Al-Qaida members were behind the incident, but no group claimed responsibility for the attack.
