8/26/2004: In a series of multiple attacks, unknown perpetrators, believed to be affiliated with the Islamic insurgency in Algeria, planted a bomb intended to target trains passing through Ahnif, Algeria. The explosive device detonated when a flock of sheep passed over the tracks. There were on casualties and the explosion did not cause any major damage.
