Incident Summary:

09/07/2004: Two Italian women, Simona Pari and Simona Torretta, employees of the Italian aid agency, Un Ponte Per were abducted from their office in Baghdad. Also abducted were two Iraqis, a male employee of Un Ponte Per and a female who worked for the Italian organization, Intersos. A group called Al Zawahiri Loyalists claimed responsibility for the attack. The hostages were released on September 28, 2004.
