Incident Summary:

09/18/2004: Thambithurai Sivakumar, an organizer for the Eelam People's Democratic Party (EPDP), was shot and killed when he was cycling home from his office in Puttalam, Sri Lanka. He was accompanied by his eight-year-old daughter; there is no report of injury to the child. The Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam are believed to be involved in the incident.
