11/28/2004: Six members of Humat al-Daawa al-Salafia group shot and killed a civilian in Algeria's Stamboul mountain range. The assailants also beat up three of the victim's cousins. Lakhdar Benkartab was identified as one of the wounded individuals. It is unknown if/why the victims were specifically targeted.
