Incident Summary:

01/17/2005: Unknown perpetrators kidnapped a Catholic Archbishop in Mosul, Iraq. The kidnappers abducted Monsignor Basile Georges Camoussa asking for $200,000 in return for his release. Camoussa was released unharmed less than 24 hours after he was first abducted. The Catholic Church denied paying any ransom money for his release. No group claimed responsibility for the kidnapping.
