Incident Summary:

02/07/2005: A suicide bomber targeted a group of Iraqi policemen standing outside the Jumhouri Teaching Hospital in Mosul, killing 12 officers guarding the facility. Seven other people were wounded in the bombing as well. Abu Musab al-Zarqawi claimed responsibility for the attack on behalf of Al-Qaida in Iraq in a statement carried on an Islamic website.
