02/28/2005: In Batticaloa town, Sri Lanka, a former government soldier was shot and critically injured. It is possible that the attack was related to a previous attack that injured three Tamil Tigers. Although no group has claimed responsibility, the victim claims to be able to identify the attackers as members of the Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam.
