Incident Summary:

03/01/2005: Members of Hizb-ul Mujahideen kidnapped then killed two Indian soldiers Matribugh, India. Three Indian soldiers were reported to have been injured in the attack as well. Also, three Hizb-ul Mujahideen members were killed in the gun battle. Soldiers belonging to the Indian Army Rashtriya Rifle company were conducting a search operation in the Matribugh village on the night of February 28, 2005 when Hizb-ul Mujahideen members began firing on them. The soldiers were continuing their search of the village the next day when the Hizb-ul Mujahideen fighters again attacked them.
