03/08/2005: Muslim auto rickshaw driver, Abdul Hameed Rahim, was shot dead in the Batticaloa area in Sri Lanka. Rahim was with three other Muslims who were able to escape. The Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam (LTTE) are suspected in the killing. There are conflicting reports regarding the circumstances surrounding the incident, and the motive is unknown.
