Incident Summary:

03/27/2005: Suspected Islamic militants bombed the Sungai Padi Train Station in Thailand’s Narathiwat Province. At least 19 people were injured in the attack. Two bombs exploded as a maintenance train was passing near the station. The perpetrators then fired guns at the train. Local police returned fire resulting in an hour long gun battle. The attack forced suspension of train services in the area.
