03/27/2005: In Iraq, an oil pipeline that runs from Kirkuk to Bayji was attacked by unidentified insurgents who planted an explosive device under the pipeline. The explosion caused a large fire and stopped oil flow through the pipeline, which had just resumed operation two days earlier after being shut down due to previous attacks. No one claimed responsibility for the attack.
