Additional Information The Taliban had vowed to step up attacks in Afghanistan prior to the attack. The device detonated in eastern Pule Charki road close to an International Security Assistance Force (ISAF) camp. Peacekeepers regularly used the road when entering and leaving the camp. The device exploded as a Canadian soldier was driving by, but he was unharmed in the attack.
